John founded Reliable Lists Inc. in 1990. Before starting Reliable Lists John worked with Anver Suleiman (his Dad) for 8 years, marketing and implementing seminars, conferences and tradeshows for a prestigious list of continuing education marketers. John developed the 20 years running "Strategic Marketing of Seminars, Conferences and Expositions" (SMSCE), an annual event for conference, seminar, training and exposition marketers. Over the past 16 years John has earned a reputation as one of the most incisive, results driven list brokers available to the seminar, conference, training and tradeshow industry. For over 25 years he has consulted and helped dozens of associations, seminar, conference and tradeshow companies and training organizations become more profitable. His clients have included seminar conference and training companies, universities, associations, publishers and tradeshow companies around the country. In addition, John's articles on strategic marketing and list selection strategies and techniques have appeared in both professional and general business journals. He has spoken at a wide range of industry events including: Meeting Planners International, American Sales and Marketing Institute, Strategic Marketing of Seminars and Conferences, American Society of Association Executives, Software Information Industry Association, International Association of Exposition Managers, Association for Continuing Higher Education, American Society for Continuing Engineering Education, and American Nurses Association. John has been active in a number of professional associations including: Direct Marketing Association, Association for Continuing Higher Education, University Continuing Education Association, Meeting Planner's International, International Association of Exposition Mangers, Society of Independent Show Owners, and has been both on the planning and education Board Committees for the New York Society of Association Executives and the New York Chapter for the International Association of Exposition Managers. Before founding Lewis Direct, Mark worked for CareerTrack Seminars for 10 years. He developed the On-site Sales, Corporate Communications, Newsletter and International departments. As International Manager, Mark's close liaison with foreign markets included the United Kingdom, Ireland, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Pacific Rim.
